The Newborn experience

My newborn sessions are very peaceful, baby-led and slow-paced withnatural light.

With minimal posing and props (no babies in baskets here, please find somebody else if you want this style !), we will capture all the tiny details of your newborn, from soft yawns to tiny fingers and tell your story in the most beautiful & natural way.

It is highly recommended to have your newborn photoshoot in the first 2 weeks of life to get those sleepy curled-up poses. If you missed the window, or prefer to have them captured a bit older, I photograph newborns up to 12 weeks old. It just means we probably won’t get these sleeping poses, but more awake and eyes-opened photos, which are as beautiful.

Every newborn session is baby led. While inspiration is welcome, specific poses cannot be guaranteed as each baby has their own comfort level and flexibility.

When Should You Book Your Newborn Photoshoot?

  • It's best to book after your 12 weeks scan. We would pencil a date for 7-10 days after your due date. Then just let me know once baby is here and we can adjust the date.

    Prefer baby to be older ? that’s great too, and we can book a date up to 12 weeks old for this newborn session.

What To Expect During Your Newborn Session

  • A beautiful peaceful experience, baby-led. Photos of baby with each parent, baby alone, baby with siblings, family all together. As many breaks as you need, for nappy change, feeding, cuddles.

  • Natural, minimal posing, no baby in basket, relaxing experience

Booking

You can enquire as soon as you had your 12 weeks scan. Early booking is highly recommended as I take only a few bookings per month to be flexible with newborn arrivals.

We will pencil a date 7 to 10 days after your due date. Then just let me know once baby is here and we will adjust the date. We can pencil the date later if you prefer too.

A deposit of £100 secures your space in my calendar.

Easy parking in my driveway, natural light studio, and close to our local towns like Purley, Caterham, Reigate, Croydon, Redhill, Sevenoaks.

I capture Newborns only on Wednesdays and Fridays morning only

Capture your beautiful journey to Motherhood with a Maternity session and a Newborn session in my studio, for a discounted price of £700.

This package includes :

  • 1 hour Maternity session + up to 2 hours Newborn session, both in my studio

  • 10 digital images of each session (20 digitals in total which you can select as you wish between the 2 galleries)

Your Questions Answered

  • I always recommend to have the session in the first 2 weeks of life, if you want those sleepy poses.

    You can book a newborn session up to 12 weeks after the birth.

    Older newborns might not be as settled and they will probably be awake during the session, which gives us lovely photos too with opened-eyes.

  • Of course, always in all my sessions. For newborn session, I do need the parents to hold baby in their arms most of the session (there will be only a few poses with baby alone on bean bag).

  • My in-home studio is located in Warlingham, CR6 9RR, in South London.

    You can park in the driveway so there is no stress about parking !

  • My usual turnaround is 2-3 weeks to deliver a gallery.

    You will receive an email with a link to your gallery. You can select your favourites by clicking on the little heart icon.

  • It's better to reschedule then. Nobody wants to do a shoot with a fever or runny nose! We can reschedule once without additional fees.

  • I don’t at the moment, but highly recommend you book it with someone before your session :)

  • Yes I do. I believe that your gorgeous photos shouldn’t just stay on your laptop or phone, but truly deserved a place on your wall.

    I have a simple choice of products available to you, from frame to albums with some very original other products too.

    I can show you some samples after your session, and I have a Product Guide you will receive.

  • I will send you a Styling guide prior to the session with tips on what to wear or what to avoid.

    My Client's wardrobe is at your disposal too.

    My style is very neutral, earthy & white tones, which makes your photos timeless.

  • Sorry furry friends are not allowed in the studio.

  • Toddlers between 2-3 yo are the trickiest to capture because they develop their emotions at this age.

    I usually recommend to bring someone to help during the shoot, like grand-ma or somebody they are comfortable with. This way, they are entertained between shots and parents are more relaxed.
