There’s a reason I ask you to come out just before sunset...
The light gets warmer, the air feels softer, and something about that time of day slows everyone down.

No pressure. No looking at the camera. Just connection, presence. Just you, as you are…

While I might give you some direction, poses or games to do,  most of the session revolves around enjoying the time together and being in the moment. The session will be focused on you simply being with your children : hugging them, tickling them, giving them a cuddle or chasing them ( for direct family only, I do not offer extended family session) . It's through doing this, that genuine memories and genuine love is captured.

THE FIELD

We’ll wander barefoot ( or in sandals!) through the tall grass, pause to watch the sun dip lower, and capture the kind of moments that feel both peaceful and unforgettable.

We can run between the tall grass and play games, jump in muddy puddles in colder months, or just relax on a blanket and play with wooden toys. With older kids, that’s the best session to run around and play games !

I have a few locations close to my studio. This featured local field has tall grass until end of August roughly ( then they cut it !).

THE FOREST

Where soft light filters through the trees and the ferns sway gently at your feet. The forest session is for you if you want something a bit wilder where the kids can explore, climb, gather little treasures. If you like greener tones and more moody photos.

We will wander, laugh and let the moments unfold naturally, while I will also gently pose you and prompt you.

What time does it start ?

For a field location, we start 60 to 90 min before sunset, so it will vary depending on the month. Here are the rough starting times by month :

March 16:30 - 17:00

April 18:30 - 18:45

May 19:30 - 20:00

June 20:00 - 20:30

July 19:30 - 20:00

August 18:30 - 19:00

Sept 17:45 - 18:00

Oct 16:30 - 17:00

Nov around 14:30 ( from Daylight saving time change)

Dec - Jan around 14:30 - 15:00

Feb 15:30 - 16:00

For a Forest location, we would start roughly 2 h before that, depending on the light.

Your bump at golden hour

Your Questions Answered

  • I shoot outdoor from April to roughly November, depending on the weather of course.

    Light - the best time to have your outdoor session will always be before sunset, to get this golden soft light

    Days - I shoot Wednesdays, Fridays and some weekends.

  • I have some local fields + local forests, not too far from my house (Warlingham, Surrey). I will send you the details once you have booked in with me.

    I love an opened field with tall brown grass in summer. I am always opened to try a new location if you have something in mind.

    I will travel up to 1 hour away from my studio ( extra £100 fee)

  • For outdoor sessions, of course !

  • You will receive a styling guide and also my pinterest board to show the vibe we are going for.

    Think neutral earthy colours : white, beige, cream, brown, dark green, kaki.

    During colder months, we will layer up with knitted cardigans, hats or chunky coats with boots.

  • My usual turn around is 2 to 3 weeks

  • It's better to reschedule then. Nobody wants to do a shoot with a fever ! We can reschedule once without additional fees.

  • I will keep a close eye on the weather the week before.

    The decision to reschedule will be made based on weather forecasts and light conditions, typically 24–48 hours prior to the session. I will contact you directly, to either reschedule once free of charge, or move it indoor in my studio.

  • Outdoor session are for everyone. It can be for Family, Maternity, Newborn and older babies.

    I capture direct family only ( you and your kids), not extended families.

  • Yes I am more than happy to capture your Bump outside at sunset , if you are pregnant during these warm months ( free to use any of my local fields, or £100 extra to go to any other location of your choice up to 1 hour travel away from my studio)

    Then we can capture your little baba in my studio, so it’s warm and comfortable.
