Two Looks, One Studio: Choosing the Style That Feels Like You
One of the things I love most about photography is that every family is different.
Some parents are drawn to soft, bright images that feel light and delicate.
Others are naturally drawn to deeper tones, rich textures, and portraits with a little more mood and depth.
That's why I've recently refreshed part of my studio to offer something new, while still staying true to the timeless style my clients know and love.
A New Look for the Studio
Over the past few months, I've been carefully redesigning the left wall of my studio with a beautiful deep brown textured microcement. The goal wasn't to completely change my photography style.
It was to create another option for families who love a slightly richer, more sophisticated look in their portraits.
The result is a space that adds warmth, depth, and a timeless feel to images while still keeping the focus exactly where it belongs on your baby and your family.
Two Beautiful Styles, One Studio
When you visit my studio, you'll now have access to two different looks.
Light & Airy
This is the style many families know me for.
Soft neutral tones.
Beautiful natural light.
A clean and timeless aesthetic that feels gentle, fresh, and elegant.
These images work beautifully in bright homes and create a classic look that never goes out of style.
Rich & Timeless
My new studio setup offers something a little different.
The deeper tones create contrast, warmth, and emotion.
The darker backdrop allows tiny details to stand out beautifully, soft skin, almost looking like a oil painting ( or so I was told !).
The result is a collection of portraits that feel intimate, artistic, and full of depth.
Which Style Should You Choose?
The great thing is you don't necessarily have to choose.
Many families decide to include both styles during their session.
This gives them a beautiful variety within their gallery, allowing them to enjoy both the softness of bright portraits and the richness of the darker setup.
Some images feel light and delicate.
Others feel cosy and dramatic.
Together, they tell a fuller story.
The Same Experience You Know and Love
While the studio has evolved, one thing remains exactly the same.
My sessions are still calm, baby led, and focused on creating a relaxed experience for every family who walks through the door.
Whether you are booking a newborn session, maternity session, or baby milestone session, my goal is always to create photographs that feel timeless and meaningful for years to come.
The new studio simply gives us another beautiful way to tell your story.
If you'd like to see both styles in person or discuss which look might suit your family best, I'd love to hear from you.
