2026 Christmas photoshoot in Surrey
Ho ho ho ! It’s going to be this time of year again ! and for once, it feels like I am a bit behind the other photographers !! So many of them have started to advertise their Christmas photoshoot already in summer ?!
I am sorry but that was just too soon for me! Let me enjoy the sun and the beach before I even start to think about Christmas.
The positive thing is that I already knew what I wanted my set to look like. I knew already right after I finished shooting my red decor last year.
I got really inspired by the White Company and their beautiful set, that I starting building my very own fireplace in January !!
The Theme this year : inspired by The White Company
No more red decor this year. That was too much colour for my own taste too ! even though it was super cute and so traditional.
This time, I am going back to what I love the most, a natural and timeless decor. First a real decor, no fake backdrop here.
Then think, a beautiful Christmas tree, exquisite glass bauble, gorgeous silk bows, warm lights in the tree, a wooden sled for little ones to sit on, a comfortable sofa to cosy-up by the fireplace and have beautiful family portrait.

Who is it for ?
Limited to 5 family members ( 3 kids + 2 parents). Book 2 sessions back-to-back for sessions with cousins.
Best suited for babies who can sit unaided already (>6 months old) otherwise they will have to be held by a family member or lay on the floor by the tree. Not suitable for newborns as there won’t be time to soothe, cuddle, feed or change nappies.
Parents are more than welcome to join in the frame !

What to wear ?
A full Styling guide will be sent to clients once they book (early October).
Ideally we want to wear neutral colours - cream, champagne, beige, brown, something easy on the eyes, warm and which makes you thin of a cosy Christmas by the fireplace.
A beautiful pyjama is a great option - that’s one of the outfit I have used with Lily when I tested the set (it’s from the White Company).
As always, no shoes allowed in the studio, so it will be either bare feet or socks and tights, just keep that in mind ( don’t wear your socks with holes in it that day !)
The other option, it to dress-up a little bit, a cute little cream, beige, brown dress for a girl with a little bow. I have a few bows in the studio that you are welcome to borrow.
For boys, it can be simple ( it always is, and that’s not fair !) like a shirt or jumper and a trouser.
For little ones who can sit on their own, there are so many adorable rompers on the market too.
Is 20 min enough time ?
If you ask me, yes it is plenty of time to capture your little ones ( and yourself if you want to jump in) in lot of different poses.
There isn’t enough time for outfit change, nappy change or feed , that’s why it’s not advised to bring newborns to this type of session.
Please arrive already dressed, so you just need to sit down and enjoy.
There will be lot of little wooden toys and props under the tree for them to interact with. If there is a specific pose you really want to be sure we capture, please let me know before the shoot or at the beginning.
What makes a Christmas session with me different ?
A real decor here ( no fake backdrop) , which I change every year. This year, I have built a fireplace to add up as a warm and cosy vibe. Lot of little toys and accessories under the tree, to keep your little ones entertained during the session.
A real wooden sled, beautiful glass baubles from the White Company, fairy lights, knitted blankets and sofa to get cosy for the family photo.
Each child receives a little gift bag at the end of their session — because they deserve to leave with something magical too.
Why is it so early and just one weekend ?
Some photographer shoot their Christmas session even earlier than me, like in September or October !
We have to shoot early on, because most of the professional print labs stop taking orders from the 1st of December, otherwise they just can’t keep it with the amount of orders they get !
I need 2 weeks to edit your photos and deliver your galleries. Then you will get one week to select your photos and download them. If you upgrade and get the beautiful little accordion album with your upgrade, then I need to order them all before the 1st December, to be sure they arrive on time to your home afterwards.
It’s all a logistic !
What if I want other products or prints ?
You will get access to the gallery shop once you receive your gallery link. Have a browse if you want any of the professional prints. Otherwise, feel free to order online with other suppliers - just keep in mind they won’t probably be professional print labs and not the best quality of paper you could get.
How can I book my Christmas photoshoot in Surrey ?
Head over to my Christmas page and sign-up to the mailing list. The booking link will be sent only to the clients on the list, who will get early bird access for 24 hours, on Friday 2nd October. If any spots are left after that, the link will be published on my website, on the Christmas page.
