Christmas 2025 | Warlingham Studio
Ho Ho Ho ! It’s this time of year again and we had an amazing time capturing all your magical memories.
The theme : Classic Red
This year, my new set was on the theme of Classic Red. If you know me and have been following for a while, you know I am not very much into bright colours and I prefer much neutral tones ! But I guess Christmas is so special that I wanted to try this classic version of it.
The last 2 years, I did a Snowy Christmas and a Cosy beige Christmas. So this new set did bring a lot of variety and new colours.
Here is a little peak into some of our most beautiful moments.
What to wear ?
So the brief was to wear a red dress for little girl and a red, green or navy blue check shirt for boys. They all got it so right. This little girl even had a beautiful fluffy white dress and a matching bow, it was just so gorgeous and worked as well with the decor.
I love to see my clients following the memo and coming dressed perfectly !
What were the Christmas props ?
My usual wooden sleigh was there, and I was able to fit not only 3 but 4 kids on it ! crazy hahaha !
I also invest into a few new little props like the classic red american truck, some more nutcrackers, a little musical box, a beautiful lantern ( this one was so perfect with the portraits on the sleigh - I am thinking to reuse i for my sunset outdoor sessions next year !).
I had a few little red books too - but I realised then that they could have been a bit more child friendly, as most of them didn’t know yet how to read!
Finally, I had a little red mail box, for the kids to post their pretend letters to Santa. That was so much fun and they loved it !
Was there any products included in the upgrade ?
Yes the same little accordion album with fine art paper. I love it and it’s such a beautiful gift idea for grand-parents as well. It is magnetic so it stays closed and you can personalised the cover with a beautiful pattern and some text.
This year the printer has also launched some new cover options with golden patterns, so so gorgeous.
Why do you shoot Christmas session so early ?
Simple answer : it’s mainly because of the printers deadlines. Christmas time is their busiest period of the year and they close down the orders early December. It means any orders placed after, will be delivered in January the year after.
So having that in mind, I shoot my Christmas photoshoot early November, so it gives me enough time to do the editing and deliver your gallery. Clients get 7 days to choose their photos. If they upgrade, then there is another week for the Clients to select their favourites for the accordion album and for me to design all of them and place the order before the deadline ! I will then pack it and send it to each of my clients as soon as possible ! phew !
What’s the theme next year ?
So without revealing too much, I already know the theme I want to do next year. It will be back to white and neutral tones, but with a cosy and magical vibe.
I need to be pro-active and start sourcing my decor this year, making the most of the after Christmas sales ! haha
