There is something so beautiful about these memories in your home. These are so special and will always be in your heart. So capturing them, just where you live, is the most beautiful way to capture them.
These quiet in-between moments don’t always make it into your photo album of their first year, so why not capturing them by a professional ?
The way they curl up into you after a feed.
The little stretch they do after they wake up from a nap.
The dinosaur noises they make, or the way they open one of their eyes when they sleep.
Why in-home baby session is the right fit for you
It’s simple, you don’t need to worry about anything !
In-home baby sessions are for you if :
You don’t want to worry about packing a bag
You don’t want to rush through the door or be stuck in traffic or be late
You don’t want to figure out your new car seat yet
You don’t want to travel with your newborn in their first two weeks of life
You missed the newborn window or wanted photos later when your baby would have a bit more personality
You prefer a more documentary lifestyle approach to your photos
You want photos captured in your home as it means so much to you
I will come to yours and bring everything we need.
Where do we take the photos ?
In any room you would like, which means something special to you. We just need a little corner by a window, anywhere in your house.
You don’t need to clean eveything in your house, just a little corner will do. I will ask you to send beforehand some photos of the rooms you would like us to shoot, so I can judge if there is enough natural light or not.
I might re-arrange some of your furnitures if needed, and I can bring some white linen duvet and cushions for your bed or living-room.
What should we wear ?
Like any of my other sessions, I always recommend my families to wear neutral colours, to make your photos timeless. In-home sessions are not different, and you get access to my client’s wardrobe too. Have a look at it and let me 3 outfits you would like me to bring for Mum and babies.
For Dads, a simple white shirt and a brown or grey short work wonder.
How far do you travel ?
I will travel up to 1 hour away from my studio. My studio is based in Warlingham CR6 9RR.
What age should be my baby ?
In-home baby sessions are for newborns up to 9 months old.
How long until I get my photos ?
My usual turn-around is 2 to 3 weeks. I take a lot of pride in my work and I want your photos to look the best, so I will edit each of them and you get to see all of them beautifully edited in your gallery.
What happens during the session ? Do you pose us ?
My in-home baby sessions are all baby-led. Which means we will go with the flow of your baby. We will have a lot of cuddles in your arms, you can sing a beautiful song to your baby, you will snuggle all together by the window.
These moments are about connection over perfection. I will give you soft prompts or poses and we then let the moment unfold and I capture the in-between moments. These are more lifestyle or documentary photos. We want to reflect you and your family as you are, in your beautiful home.
You will get a gallery full of emotive, storytelling images that feel like you.
